FRIDAY FICTIONEERS - 30 of March

Yep, that’s my blue truck. Or, what’s left of it, anyway. It stopped running and Spotcheck was going to come up and help me get it started, but he left town and that was that. I then planned on using parts from it on the yellow truck I got next (I traded a roll of fiber optic cable, a sliding glass door, and a pallet of shingles for it), but the yellow truck stopped running, too. It’s over there, in the other field. By the Volkswagen and dune buggy. I just heard that Danny has a stake truck for sale.

  1. I'm not sure what a stake truck is but I have a feeling this guy isn't going to have too much luck with it! It's funny because I saw a red truck and didn't even notice the blue until you mentioned it in your story!

  2. I love this! Lots of neighbors with yards like that. Soon we will dump them when they run out of gas!

  3. Good read. I envisioned the "junk yard" yard...

  4. This poor guy has so much trouble with cars...maybe he should buy a motorcycle or just a plain old bike. I also didn't see the blue underneath the rusted red either. Good observation. Here's mine:

  5. You wouldn't really want to live next door to this guy would you. A field full of derelict trucks ... Full marks for spotting the blue, you even had me looking for the yellow for a second. Nice one

  6. I've been through most of these stories and I just noticed the blue also--I had it pictured red. Great story--I think I know that guy! :-) Nice humor, too--loved that.

  7. I thought this was pretty funny! The guy obviously has a little truck obsession that needs to be treated...

  8. You pointed to a fresh take on this post...seeing it as a blue truck since FFF started, that's quite an observation from you...
